Recently we had the privilege of speaking to New York Times Best-Selling Author Dan Ariely.
And we’d like to give you the entire interview absolutely FREE
Here’s the backstory on why you’ll want to listen to this…
Intro To Dan Ariely
Dan is a professor of behavioral economics at Duke University – he basically studies people and the decisions they make.
I know what you’re thinking… how does this effect me? Am I right?
Well, if you know how and why people make certain decisions you immediately gain a HUGE advantage as far as how to position your products, improve the customer experience and increase your sales.
During this interview we talk to Dan about how the results from his research can help all small business owners. For example, in Part 1 of this interview you’ll learn:
- Why a “decoy option” can immediately improve your subscription sales
- How to design a highly effective sales environment
- Freemium or not? We’ll let Dan’s research answer that one
- The effect of “FREE” and how it leads to completely irrational decision making
- Why social media is playing a much larger role in buying habits – and what to do about it.
- Dan’s brand new research into the effect Brand Names have on our product “perceptions”
- Why paying employees (or contract workers) big bonuses doesn’t always work (and what to do instead)
- and much more!

(Part 2 of this interview will be conducted soon)

Hey Wishlist,
Thanks a million for this interview, great ideas and I’m going to make some major changes to my membership site http://www.FastMarketingPlan.com.
I’ve seen the decoy option before and never understood it.
And you are so right about FREE stuff.
Sandy Barris
Great interview, I will be using a lot of this information. Thanks for adding great value again.
Thanks, Wishlist, for providing this great interview. I’ve always thought your WordPress plugin and customer service are A+. Sending out things like this interview are making me think I owe you a few more ++’s!
Thanks Insider!
Some very interesting points in there about FREE that I think everyone will benefit from hearing.
Also really appreciated the discussion of the decoy concept in pricing.
Looking forward to Part 2 already!
Dan’s stuff is Ninja good and effective!
I immediately used his DECOY technique to increase requests for my higher end health care services.
Thanks for the interview.
btw… I own your unlimited domain WLM product. Very good value…

This is a WOW material.
I really apreciate it, specially because of the early stage my project is in.
This interview only is worth much more than the monthly membership charge. I’ve been an insider for two days, and I just love it!
Greetings from Guadalajara, Mexico, and thanks a lot.
You guys never fail to amaze me. This interview puts many things into perspective and I really liked the decoy concept.
Thanks again
Petra Peach
Dan’s talk at TED from a few years ago is very entertaining and highlights many of the points in this interview. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9X68dm92HVI
Thanks for doing this interview…this helps so much as a web designer & business owner. Thinking of crafting your website or product page as an “environment” then using that to your advantage, like how Disneyland crafts its themeparks as an environment and you willingly open your wallets.
Really great interview! When is part 2 coming out? The examples I learned here have already been shared with several people who are considering using WLM. This is very helpful for doing the strategy behind building a website…as you know, it’s not as simple as “build it and they will come”!
When will part 2 be available? Loved part 1…
Thanks for the kind words
We are hoping to get the 2nd part of this interview added to the site soon, but we don’t have a form release date at the moment as schedules need to be synched up.
Super cool stuff!
Any word on the 2nd part? I hope i missed the email about it and it’s already ready for download :}
ChaosDecember 12, 2009It’s refreshing to see some hard work and drive come out of Littlefun, Co. Maybe you will irispne some people to quit thinking about beer pong, smokin up, and what rave they are going too, and actually live a full and abundant life with drive, integrity, and passion. Robert Kyosaki should be required reading in school, along with The Alchemist and some lessons with Tony Robbins. If it would accomplish anything, it would be to motivate people to follow their dreams and be the very best no matter what. the future looks good for you man. Keep up the good fight. Chaos
