  1. Thanks for a great video! I’ve been studying and implementing WishList sites since the beginning and I learned several things from this video.

    Great work, Stu!!

Great overview of how to use the plugin. I bought the software but am in the process of familiarizing myself with all the feature prior to activating it.

I would love it there could be a One-Time-Offer feature built in too. :)

Hey Stu – really appreciate your videos – am wishlist multiple owner and still trying to grasp how to best implement for my projects -thanks for continuing to be informative.

  4. Bill Preston says:

I definitely may want to implement this as an add on to sell content on my forum. Thanks.

  5. Muy Bueno este video, Gracias por las Ideas son super
    cool. Desde Puerto Rico.

  6. Great video Stu, always great to stir new ideas!

On that note, I thought I’d share my WL application. I sell a minisite program (7MinuteMinisites.com) which consists of a WP theme download, plus over 20 video training modules, plus a lot of other goodies (free graphics, etc).

I NEVER could have done this by asking people to download a monster zip file.. and I didn’t want to ship out products. WL Member has be the PERFECT solution.

The other perk.. every time I create a new updated version, or record a new training module, all I do is send out an email to customers and they can go check it out themselves.

Can’t say enough how great WL Member has been for me, keep up the great work!

  7. I so agree Dave. WishList has made life so much easier for my clients AND for me in my consulting and training businesses. I just delivered my WordPress WorkShop through WishList. SOOOO easy!! I’ll rearrange things a bit and deliver the January WorkShop through the same site.

I’ve had rave reviews from my clients who are using it too. One came over from the dark side (Joomla) to WishList and is amazed at how easy it is to administer and add content.

Thanks Stu, great video. We just went live with a our site for managers (www.wilymanager.com) and went through an interesting progression from one membership model to another during the development of the site. At first, we set up a combo site (Model #10)which was a combination of Publisher (#1) and Protected Download (#5). But, realizing that the most important thing we could do was build our ‘list’, we have changed to a private Member’s Area (#8). Lots of public content (for google), and lots of protected content – and membership is free. The ability to integrate with Aweber has been critical. Thanks for keeping us thinking….

  9. I am sooo excited about the possibilities using Wishlist Member. I was able to [fairly easily] set up a site for Montessori parents. They receive access to only their own school’s newsletters, contact lists, etc. (I guess in your video this falls under the Coaching model) Using category-specific RSS feeds, they can also receive an email every time their school…and ONLY their school posts a new message.

  10. Nice job Stu – great presentation on the different models.

Couldn’t make the Vegas event, but I’m looking forward to listening to the audios.

Currently using the WishList Member with one of our micro-continuity sites (based on Russell Brunson’s methodology).

Is a *perfect* fit with the Wordpress platform, hooked up to 1Shoppingcart, and using Screencast to host and deliver integrated video content.

Looking forward to additional implementation ideas!

    David

  11. Aly says:

Hi, brilliant video. I am considering how this could be used in my business and have found your videos very helpful. Many thanks. Aly

  12. Donna says:

    Hi Stu,

Thanks for a no-hype, clear presentation. Most of my sites are self-hosted WordPress blogs, so this caught my eye. I already see the value of more than one membership model for one site, so was pleased to see that option as #10.

Look forward to learning more about this!

    Best,
    Donna

  13. Dave Frank says:

Wow, thanks for all of the great information on video, Wishlist looks like an awesome add on for wordpress.

I was just thinking about building something yesterday that I think I can use wishlist for instead of developing from scratch…

    Thanks again

Thanks for this, I purchase Wishlist Member but I have so much to do each day it takes time to find time to learn and implement everything, I am looking forward to your videos on each model. They will save LOTS of time for busy people.

  16. Mary Thompson says:

Can you have several different courses on the same site?

  17. Hey Stu,

    Hi
the wishlist plugin is great, and the support has been awesome, I feel like I know you guys personally. We’re just ready to properly launch our site http://www.PublishingAcademy.com in December (been in beta mode for a couple of months while we got ourselves organised) – it’s really exciting ;-)

Stu, if you want to interview us that’d be great. I’ll pop a message over at the support centre.

  19. I love how you outlined the different membership models.

Makes it easy to follow and think through our strategies.

This is something I will definitely pass onto my students

  20. Kaya says:

    Excellent video.

Thank you for making it so clear. I would love if you add a model called “forum, ” where the main event is a forum that allows for discussions. As the forum is the main feature there would be less clutter and very for new users easy to navigate.

‘Simple press is not simple and hard to figure out how to navigate. If people are confused they won’t do it.

I would want no more than 5 discussions but one long forum where all the new topics are shown with newest at the top regardless of which discussion.

  21. Goetz Haindorff says:

    Hey Stu,

    clear presentation. Looks great.
Do you set up those sites for customers as a service, as well?
I don´t have the time to do it myself, so I need to delegate it.

Just found out about your service through Lou Dalo.
