Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) is a new rule set to come into effect on September 14, 2019. This is related to a European regulation – PSD2.
Please Note: We are not experts on the topic of Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) but we have conducted online research and have posted information (including how it relates to WishList Member) based on that research in our Knowledge Base.
There are a number of resources available online to learn more about Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) in general. If you are interested in learning more about this topic, we recommend looking online.
As an example, Stripe has posted a useful guide on their site.
More details regarding Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) / Double Secure Payment (PSD2) and how it relates to WishList Member can be found in our Knowledge Base.

We have wrapped up the initial development process and our team is now focused on the official release of WishList Member 3.0.
In order to help everyone be prepared for the change, we created a video with a more in depth look at the all new interface of WishList Member.
Be on the lookout for our official announcement next week.
WishList Member 3.0 is right around the corner and we wanted to answer some questions our customers have been asking.
The video below touches on a number of different topics and we feel it helps give an overview of what to expect.
Our Team is working hard to get WishList Member 3.0 ready for the release and we will be sharing more information soon.
We’ve been hinting at the release of WishList Member 3.0 for quite some time now.
This is without a doubt the biggest change to WishList Member we’ve ever had. Consequently, the development has taken us more time than we originally expected.
We started on the project over two years ago. This has definitely been our primary focus in terms of development and we’re getting very close to an official release.
As we started the project, we recognized very quickly that after 10 years of adding features here and there, we needed to rebuild the foundation of WishList Member. This was important for two reasons. First, we wanted the set up and implementation of new membership sites to be significantly easier for new users. We also needed to give ourselves the necessary framework to add significant feature enhancements moving forward.
After using WishList Member 3.0 ourselves for several months we started giving private demos to a small set of people. Our initial feedback has been tremendous and we’re ready to move to the next level.
Here is the first look video:
Our roll out plans include having a thorough BETA testing phase so we need your help.
We need as many people as possible to test WishList Member 3.0 BETA before we roll out the official release.
We are looking for WishList Member customers of all skill levels for the BETA test phase.
The two main qualifications for the WishList Member 3.0 BETA test program are:
- You must have a valid WishList Member license key.
- You must have an active Support and Update Plan.
It’s extremely important to note:
- WishList Member 3.0 BETA should NOT be used on a live site.
- It is intended to ONLY be used in a testing environment.
If you want to be a part of the WishList Member 3.0 BETA team you can sign up by clicking on the link below. (You will need your WishList Member license key).
We want to say thanks in advance to anyone who is ready to help us push through and get closer to our official release.
We will be sharing more news with you very soon.
The year was 2008.
We were jamming out to tunes like “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay. Katy Perry debuted with her smash hit “I Kissed a Girl” and immediately proved it would not be a one hit wonder with “Hot and Cold”. Miley Cyrus proved to the world she’s got much more in her career than Hannah Montana. Lady Gaga showed the world her “Poker Face”.
On the big screen we were watching films like “The Dark Knight”, “Mamma Mia”, “Benjamin Button” and “Kung Fu Panda”. Our vampire fascination was fulfilled with the first episode in the “Twilight” series. Finally, the Marvel Cinematic Universe kicked off by letting us know that Tony Stark is more than just a Billionaire Playboy in “Iron Man”.
In the technology front, we were starting to believe Facebook’s 200 million users may catch up with Blogger’s 222 million. MySpace was still on the scene with 126 million. Apple was pushing the edge by giving us GPS technology in our pockets with the iPhone 3G. They also launched a little project called the App Store. Google decided to give Apple a run for the money by introducing the Android Device. YouTube pulls the classic April Fool’s day prank of linking all videos on their main page to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”.
It’s hard to believe all this happened 10 years ago.
This was the same year we released the very first version of WishList Member. Continue Reading →
It has been said that leaders are learners and if you invest your time in learning today, we guarantee you will be glad you did.
Let us introduce our guest, “Help My Business!” WebTV Host, Andrew Lock. There are certain people in this world that when they talk, you listen .. AND take notes. Andrew Lock is one of those people, especially if your business could use a little help.
Lock is the author of five best-selling business books, and in 2009 his show became the #1 most popular marketing WebTV show in the Apple iTunes store, beating well known ‘traditional business training’ competitors like Harvard Business Review, Advertising Age, Business Week and TED Talks.
In this interview, Lock shares the three underlying keys that helped him launch and sell more than six membership sites, grow his business-themed T.V. show to an audience of more than 100,000 viewers, and embrace the power of residual income through membership sites.
A Step Forward…
In the first week of September I received a message from my business partner Stu McLaren. He wanted to make sure that both Mike Lopez and I would be on our weekly partner meeting. Stu said that he and his wife had been making some major life decisions that would affect his future both personally and professionally.
Initially, I replied that I planned to be on the regularly scheduled Friday meeting, but I quickly realized that something just seemed different. We then pushed the meeting up a day early. Continue Reading →
